In June 2008 Signs360 was approuched by the owners of Charing Cross Cuts to come up with a concept to suit their environment and create an upmarket top end look for their new store which was just moved from 2 stores up.

A contemporary look for an old establishment

Charing Cross is a landmark crossroads in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, which has housed an old, established hair dressing salon called Charing Cross Cuts for over 30 years. The owners of the salon decided to move it to the premises next door and to modernise the general look of the establishment. The only way to achieve this was with innovative and carefully selected signage.

Signs360 was consulted to come up with a signage concept that would portray a new, contemporary Charing Cross Cuts look. The project consisted of a double-sided under-awning light box, crafted out of aluminium, Perspex and translucent red vinyl. The translucent red graphic vinyl is designed specifically to stand out and draw attention, and so was an excellent choice for this sign creation project. Signs360 also created a beautiful handmade window graphic, a fresh and current addition to modernise any antiquated establishment, which was applied to the windows of the new salon. The owners were delighted with the results and have recommended Signs360 to other store owners in the area.

Since the propelling of Charing Cross Cut into the modern age by means of eye-catching sign innovation, many other sign design projects have since been undertaken and completed by Signs360 in the same area.
